The Sea Salt Soak Cleaning Method

[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
The salt water soak cleaning method is a natural and non-invasive way to ensure your piercing is kept free of unwanted bacteria or debris. It helps to promote healing, rather than damaging it like most other methods can, and is the approved method of cleaning from industry fore-runners such as the Association of Professional Piercers.

The basic method recipe is; 1/4 teaspoon of sea salt to 1 coffee mug of boiling water. When cooled this mixture is used to soak the piercing in for 5-10mins, cotton buds are used to clean around the piercing and then it is rinsed with plain water and dried.
